How to distill water

          Water is the most important important resource for human survival. But, not all water is safe for drinking so to decontaminate it a process called water distillation is used . The steps for this are as follows.

           First, the contaminated water should be collected in a beaker. Next, you should set up the equipment so that the bunsen burner is below the beaker and the distillation tubes are situated above the beaker. After that, make sure that the other end of the distillation tubes are connected to a collection beaker. Next, fill the bunsen burner with oil and make sure all safety precautions have been taken. Then, light the bunsen burner and watch as bubbles start to form in the liquid. Finally, examine the water, it should eventually heat up to the boiling point. When the process is over the distilled water will be collected in the collection beaker.
